High School Ministry
San Rafael’s High School Youth Ministry works to foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person.
This ministry strives to provide new opportunities and experiences for high school youth that will draw them to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic Church.
High School Schedule
High School Confirmation Classes – Meets Sunday’s from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
High School Youth Nights – 3rd Friday of the Month, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the Youth Center
Upperclassmen in the Upper Room (Faith Sharing for 11th & 12th grades) – Meets 1st Fridays, from 9:00-10:30 p.m. in the Youth Center
Worship Wednesdays – 1st & 3rd Wednesdays. 6:00-7:00 p.m. Worship in the Church Chapel, followed by fellowship 7:00-8:00 p.m. in the Youth Center. (2nd & 4th Wednesdays at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish in Rancho Penasquitos.)
SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE | Time for college? That means finding ways to help finance your education. The Knights again this year will be offering six (6) scholarships from $500 to $2,000 each. Six Scholarships include one for each area: Catholic University, Ladies’ Guild Honorarium, Caroline E. Cox Memorial, Matt Herriman Memorial, Community College and Vocation/Trade School Scholarships. You may download an application from our parish website or pick one up from the parish office or your Youth Ministry Director, Lailani Gachalian. The deadline for submission is May 1, 2017. All High School Youth Ministry volunteers must complete background screening.
